Reactions have continued to trail the Senator Dino Melaye's alleged threat to beat up and impregnate Remi Tinubu, the wife of former Lagos state governor and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
According to Sahara Reporters, Mr Melaye had issued the threat to Mrs Tinubu after the she said "the Senate should not be reduced to a stage where Senators could just issue childish threats" following plans by some lawmakers to impeachPresident Buhari.
The lawmaker denied issuing such threat to Mrs Tinubu, saying: "It is now obvious that Sahara Reporters lies,blackmail and propaganda is now limited edition and shameless."
This however did not deter Nigerians as they have been reacting to the lawmakers' comment on various social social media platforms. See some reactions from twitter below.
Mr Melaye who is an ally of the senate president, Bukola Saraki recently said he will be Nigeria's president in the near future.
Meanwhile, the attorney general of the federation, Abubakar Malami held a secret meeting with Senate President this evening.
