Spokesman of the Unity Forum, Senator Kabir Marafa said his group may withdraw the forgery case against the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, and three others if directed by his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Pulse recalls that the Federal Government slammed forgery charges on the Senate President, his deputy, the immediate past Clerk to the National Assembly, Salisu Maikasuwa, and his deputy Benedict Efeturi.
They were accused of forging the 2015 Senate Standing Rules used for their election over a year later.

Speaking with journalists in Abuja on Friday, July 22, 2016, Senator Marafa (APC, Zamfara) said: "We didn’t go to court because we did not like the face of those that emerged, but this is the will of our party. If the party says withdraw the case, we will on to withdraw the case.
"During the 7th assembly, we accorded the ruling party at that time the utmost cooperation and we knew the committees that we were given that time.
Speaking on the reshuffling of committee leaders in the Red Chambers, Marafa said: "I think reshuffling of committees is not new in any parliament. What made that of yesterday a little new is the circumstances of the emergence of this leadership and what followed.
"What happened yesterday is a result of the efforts the party has been putting in for reconciliation in the last few days," he added.
Marafa, a critic of the Senate President was announced chairman of the committee on Petroleum (Downstream) in Thursday, July 21, 2016 committee reshuffle in the Upper Chamber.
